Captain COURAGEOUS is a fictitious figure from World War
II. Captain COURAGEOUS was a radio operator on a small,
remote, uncharted island in the South Pacific called by
its code name, Pauly Maroo. He was sent to this island
during the Second World War to observe enemy ship movements.
Unfortunately, after the war no one remembered to pick
him up, and he was marooned for forty years. He became
stark raving mad. Luckily, he was rescued by Commander
James Bernard Swampscott of the Royal American Expedition
Service. He was brought back to Boston, rehabilitated
and has become a ConDUCKtor. Captain COURAGEOUS has been
with Boston Duck Tours since its inception. |
