Boston Duck Tours Christens the Newest Member of the Fleet!
"Arborway Alex" is the first step in a line of new bio diesel DUCKs making their way to Boston.

What: A Christening ceremony with support from the Emerald Necklace Conservancy and the Arnold Arboretum for Boston Duck Tours' first bio diesel DUCK "Arborway Alex." A costumed Frederick Law Olmsted will be christening the DUCK.

Where: Inside the Arnold Arboretum at the Cherry Tree Grove.

Please Note: Press may catch a ride aboard "Arborway Alex" from the 891 Center St. parking lot at 10:45 or may meet DUCK in the Arborteum at 11am by entering at the Forest Hills Gate off the Arborway. There is on street parking available at 891 Center St. or on the Arborway.

When: Arbor Day, April 25, 2008 at 11am

Why: To celebrate the newest member of the Boston Duck Tour fleet. "Arborway Alex" is the first of 24 bio diesel powered DUCKs that will be replacing Boston Duck Tours' existing fleet over the next 4 years. Boston Duck Tours is striving to do what we can to help the environment, and with the acres of new Boston Parks now in place, the name "Arborway Alex" is a great fit for it's newest DUCK. Being a vital connector for the Emerald Necklace, the Arborway was an important part of Olmsted's great vision. What better way to celebrate that vision than by naming one of Boston's iconic DUCKs after a vital part of our important urban park system?
Great Photo Opportunity!
